Hillsboro, Ore., Residents Make Noise at Airport Meeting.

Jun. 16--HILLSBORO, Ore. -- A crowd of about 80 residents concerned with helicopter noise near the Hillsboro Airport attended a Port of Portland meeting Tuesday night, pressing Port officials on the pending changes in flying patterns and increasing noise levels.
During the meeting, held by the Port in response to a recent spike in resident complaints, officials outlined the roles and responsibilities of governing players such as the Federal Aviation Administration, the Port and the Hillsboro Airport. A framework of how the agencies work was also presented, along with detailed information on how noise is measured and tracked.
