Bridgeport, Conn.-Area Young Architects Get Helping Hand from Mentor Program.

Jun. 17--Julie Kim, an architect with Fletcher Thompson in Shelton, went into her field blind.
"I'm happy the way every thing turned out, but it would have been nice to have some reinforcement when I was younger. To know I was making the right decisions," said Kim.
Along with others, Kim is part of a growing effort to mentor a new generation of architects, engineers and contractors.
Through the ACE (Architecture Construction and Engineering) Mentor Program, select high school students from Shelton, Trumbull, Bridgeport and Stratford spent two evenings a month this school year organized in typical design and construction teams.
