Long-Time Program Director Steps Down at New York's WCBS-FM.

Jun. 18--Joe McCoy, for more than two decades program director of the nation's No. 1 oldies radio station, WCBS/101.1 FM, has stepped down to become a consultant, station officials announced Thursday. During his 23 years as program director, WCBS has consistently been rated one of the top 10 stations in New York.
"Joe has been one of the most influential programmers in the radio industry, and an important member of the WCBS-FM family for almost a quarter of a century," general manager Chad Brown said in a statement.
