France's Arianespace Aims to Double Asia-Pacific Revenue in 2004.

Jun. 18--Arianespace, the world's largest commercial space transport provider, is counting on the lucrative satellite market to double its revenue in Asia-Pacific this year to US$300 million.

Richard Bowles, the director of the French company's Asean representative office, said Arianespace expected its global revenue to reach $1 billion this year, with at least 30 percent coming from the Asia-Pacific region.

Last year, the group posted revenue of $678 million, of which $135.6 million was generated in the region. Net profit was $11.16 million.
