Ruling Restores Doctors' Suit against Connecticut Blue Cross.

Jun. 19--A court ruling has reinstated class-action status for a case by doctors against Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut that alleged the insurer skimped on payments.
Judge Barbara J. Sheedy, in the complex litigation section of Superior Court in Waterbury, granted class certification this week to several parts of the 5-year-old case brought by orthopedic surgeons.
The suit alleged that Anthem paid doctors based on profiling -- how they used medical resources.
