Aetna Adds Programs to Court Clients, Build Sales.

Jun. 20--Resurrected from the health plan heap, Aetna is wooing customers with a growing array of programs to rein in medical costs -- this time, it hopes, without disaffecting doctors and peeving patients.
The renewal season now in full swing for large employers presents a test for Aetna in the final stage of its turnaround. Sales will reflect how customers view Aetna's ability to manage care, not just the company's premiums or fees.
During the past two years Aetna, with its vast database, has stepped up programs to predict, detect and address medical problems -- a way to save money for itself and employers while potentially making members healthier....
