UTC Taps Otis Elevator Chief to Turn Around Its Underperforming Chubb Division.

Jun. 20--FARMINGTON, Conn. -- A career Otis Elevator man, Olivier Robert knows every aspect of that business, from engineering to sales to service. Now he is working to gain similar expertise, and quickly, in a decidedly different world -- security services.
Last July, United Technologies Corp. Chairman George David tapped Robert to run the corporation's newest business, Chubb PLC, a long under-performing company then based in London. David handed the French-born Otis executive a difficult task.
UTC expects Robert, 53, to double Chubb annual revenues -- now about $2.5 billion -- in the next five years. That would come through a combination of strategic...
