Aloha Airlines Plans Nonstop to Maui from Sacramento, Calif.

Jun. 18--Aloha Airlines will launch daily nonstop service from Sacramento to Maui in September, giving the region two nonstops to the Hawaiian islands.
When it starts the Maui service on Sept. 7, Aloha will end its daily service to Maui that had one stop in Burbank. Hawaiian Airlines already operates a nonstop between Sacramento and Honolulu.
Aloha's Web site quoted a round-trip Sacramento-Maui fare of $671 for travel in September.
Travel experts say Hawaii is a prime leisure destination for Sacramento-area families. Flights out of Sacramento are particularly attractive because Valley residents can avoid driving to the Bay Area.
