Richmond, Calif.-Based Mechanics Bank Picks New CEO.

Jun. 22--The Mechanics Bank has tapped an executive from a Southern California financial services firm as its new top boss.

Steven Buster on July 1 is due to take over as president and chief executive officer of Richmond-based Mechanics Bank. Buster, 54, is currently a managing director with Los Angeles-based U.S. Trust Co. Buster is responsible for U.S. Trust's entire western U.S. operations.
