Jun. 25--JUNO BEACH, Fla. -- EX-BANK CHAIRMAN SEEKS NEW VENTURE: The former chairman of Admiralty Bank hopes to launch a new bank later this year.
Bruce Mahon has asked state regulators for permission to open Anchor Commercial Bank, which would cater to small business. Mahon said he already has raised $20 million from investors.
The bank would be based in Juno Beach and is slated to open in mid-October. Former Admiralty director Leslie Goodman is president and John Kapsis is chief financial officer.
