Trucker USF to expand Holland line; Division to hire in Allentown, Pa., area.

Jun. 30--Trucker USF Corp. of Chicago will reopen eight terminals from its Red Star division that were closed a month ago, and make them part of its Holland division from the Midwest.

USF Holland said last week it will add 500 International Brotherhood of Teamsters jobs spread among seven facilities, including Allentown, Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre and Harrisburg.

The shuffle of drivers comes after the Chicago company shut down its unionized USF Red Star division last month and put 2,000 people out of work.
