Latest portable photo printers run quality gamut.

Jun. 27--As the printing corner of the digital darkroom expands, photos get smaller and ink tanks keep multiplying.

To be on the fashionable side of this summer's trend line, a photo-quality inkjet printer's just got to do 4-by-6-inch snaps, and churn them out quickly. Smaller than that is good, too, if you can live with 3-by-5 or wallet-sized photos. The more diminutive the print, the less expense for materials like ink and paper.
