UK-Based Media Company ITV sells off 'non-core' businesses.

Jun. 28--ITV chief executive Charles Allen is selling off some of the group's "non-core" businesses as part of his efficiency drive.

One of the first to be put on the block is non-fiction book publisher Carlton Publications, known for several titles on Hitler and the Second World War.

The Moving Picture Company, which created visual effects for the Harry Potter and Troy films, is also up for sale.

It is already being touted to potential buyers, though the 400 staff are not yet aware of their fate.
