Jul. 2--Crowds at the theme parks usually start to thin about 4 in the afternoon as sunbaked tourists trudge back to their cars and return to their air-conditioned rooms.
But that wasn't the case midweek, when the cars arriving at Universal Orlando stretched three across from the parking garage plaza back to Universal Boulevard. Such a turnout so early in the week is one reason Central Florida tourism officials expect a Fourth of July weekend worth celebrating.
