GM, Ford seek to boost flagging sales by inflate vehicle incentives.

Jul. 8--The lure of $5,000 rebates and five-year, no-interest loans will revive consumers' interest in new cars and trucks this month, analysts predicted Wednesday as both General Motors and Ford responded to poor June sales with new deals.
GM's incentive package raised its cash-back offers to $5,000 on many of its SUVs and trucks, and to $4,000 on many of its cars. The deals, which run through Aug. 2, offer interest-free loans for up to five years as an alternative.
Ford raised the rebate on its 2004 Freestar minivan to $5,000 and is offering $4,000 back on its four-door Explorer SUV, Expedition SUV and Crown Victoria sedan. Alternatively, Ford announced...
