Jul. 10--Ever wonder what happened to the millions in retirement and other benefits toted away from the Phoenix Cos. by former chairman and chief executive Robert W. Fiondella?
Well, some of it is landing in the local commercial real estate market.
Fiondella, who retired from Phoenix two years ago, is part of a recently formed investor group that purchased prime office property last week at 10 Executive Drive in Farmington for $4.4 million.
Fiondella and former Aetna real estate executive William J. Wienke have formed the group with the aim of acquiring other commercial properties in the area, local real estate sources said Friday.
