Woman joins helm of Indianapolis law firm.

Jul. 10--Melissa Proffitt Reese will serve as the first female managing partner at Ice Miller, the firm announced Friday.
Only 9 percent of managing partners are women in the top 200 U.S. law firms, according to the American Bar Association.
Reese, who concentrates on employee benefits and labor relations issues, joins Phil Bayt and David Mattingly, the firm's other managing partners, in her new role.
"I am anxious to bring a new and diverse perspective to the management team that oversees the firm's strategic objectives," Reese said in a news release.
