Tapioca tycoons branch out into showbiz in Thailand.

Jul. 13--The Kanjanachusak family, which built its fortune on the tapioca flour trade, has moved into showbiz.
Younger family members including Oratai Thanajaro, who is currently an assistant secretary to the commerce minister, have formed a new company known as Kanjanachusak Entertainment Co to pursue the entertainment business.
President Sukij Kanjanachusak said the company aimed to be an integrated producer of music, television and movies for the big screen and VCD format.
"The company will expand into other entertainment businesses when the opportunity arises," he said.
