Suzuki beefs up motorcycle production in Thailand.

Jul. 18--Thai Suzuki Motor Co will spend about 350 million baht in the latter half of this year to raise its motorcycle output to 450,000 units per year from the existing 380,000 in anticipation of sales growth next year.

"It's very essential to expand the plant to cater to market growth next year as the existing capacity is limited to serve the current market," said Lertsak Navavimarn, the company's general manager for sales and marketing.

Currently, the company's plant is producing 285,000 units for the domestic market and the remaining 95,000 for export, mainly to other Asean countries.
