Downtown Albany, N.Y., restaurant no longer brew pub.

Jul. 20--The Big House Brewing Co. in downtown Albany, a brew pub, restaurant and entertainment venue, is no longer a brew pub.

The brewing equipment was removed from the Sheridan Avenue facility on July 11 and taken to Brown's Brewing Co. properties in North Hoosick and Troy. The Big House will begin serving Brown's Brewing Co. beer, according to Big House owner Stephen Waite.

Waite said he wants to redesign his downtown restaurant, possibly turning it into four separate entities. He had the brewing equipment removed to free up storage space, he said.
