Focus groups helped Musicmatch test latest version of online music service.

Jul. 26--It wasn't the first time technology brought a person to tears. But when one woman's eyes watered in frustration as she struggled to use an early version of Musicmatch's latest online music service, executives at the San Diego company took notice.
"People were stopping me in the halls saying, 'I hear someone was crying,'" said Sandra Barnat, a research psychologist and Musicmatch's usability manager, of the focus group session. "The consensus was the way we presented the services was confusing."
