Connecticut to watch UnitedHealth after acquisition of Trumball-based insurer.

Jul. 31--State insurance regulators will monitor employment and charitable giving for two years in their approval of UnitedHealth Group's acquisition of Trumbull-based Oxford Health Plans.
The state Department of Insurance is requiring UnitedHealth to submit a report twice a year for two years. The report must outline any changes in Oxford's Connecticut operations, including employment, business locations and charitable giving.
The first report is due six months from the date of the deal's closing. The acquisition was completed late Thursday, ahead of an expected closing in the fourth quarter.
