Concord, Mass., hospital CEO resigns.

Jul. 3--CONCORD, Mass. -- With several big-ticket projects in the pipelines, Emerson Hospital President and CEO Geoffrey Cole is resigning to become president of Yale's teaching hospital, Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut.

The chairman of Emerson's board of directors, Philip Cheney, told reporters he was sorry to see Cole go, and mentioned some his contributions, including building a rapport with physicians, running a successful capital campaign, renovation of the intensive care unit and the Bethke Cancer Center and opening hospital branches in Westford and Gorton.
