Aug. 3--LEESBURG, Fla. -- The Community Development Corp. has begun advertising for a new executive director, despite approving the contract of Executive Director John Christian during a July 13 board meeting.
On Monday, Christian signed a contract making him interim executive director until the search for a new director has been completed. He also is a Leesburg city commissioner. Christian said he has not decided if he wants to apply for the job, which he has had since 2002. The deadline to apply for the job is Aug. 13.
