Wet weather depresses results for Sandusky, Ohio-based amusement park operator.

Aug. 4--Rainy weather and poor performance at a new park dragged down second-quarter earnings at Cedar Fair, the amusement-park owner whose parks include Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

Cedar Fair officials on Tuesday reported net income of $13.2 million for the three months ended June 30, down from $16.7 million in the same period a year ago.

Revenue also fell slightly to $145 million, from $145.2 million the year before.

Dorney Park in South Whitehall Township posted "solid" performance, officials said. Dorney's attendance rose slightly over last year, the company said. Cedar Fair generally does not break out specific results for...
