Coors chairman's daughter to join board after Molson Coors breweries' merger.

Aug. 4--Melissa Coors, a fifth-generation member of Colorado's storied brewery family, will join the board of Molson Coors Brewing Co. if the proposed merger between Molson Inc. and Adolph Coors Co. comes to fruition.
She would supplant two former chief executive officers of major North American companies who served on the Coors board for a combined 10 years. And she is the first female member of the well-known Coors family to serve in such an elite position.
"This would never have gone down two generations ago," said Mark Green, director of the Austin Family Business Program at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.
