Aug. 4--With the stock market in a funk and New York on heightened alert for possible terrorism, CNL Hotels & Resorts in Orlando said Tuesday that it is calling off its public stock offering indefinitely.
The real-estate investment trust said that "market conditions" led the company to determine that it was appropriate to postpone its offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
