Hackensack, N.J., raids of 3 city shops uncover pirated DVDS.

Aug. 6--Tom Cruise's new film opens today (Friday August 6), but movie fans already have gotten sneak peeks of "Collateral" at home.
During raids at three city shops, Hackensack (NJ) police confiscated nearly 200 pirated DVDs, including "Spider-Man 2," "I, Robot," "The Bourne Supremacy," and "The Village," among other releases.
For years, pirated movies have been sold on street corners and, more recently, over the Internet. But in the Hackensack raids, the crudely shrink-wrapped DVDs -- with distorted color-copied covers and undecorated discs -- had been displayed for sale in stores, along with 620 counterfeit CDs, police said.
