Avon to change Thai business model in line with U.S. success.

Aug. 7--Avon Products Inc is preparing to gradually transform its direct-selling business model in Asia Pacific into multi-level network marketing in a bid to boost sales and centralise its country-based operations into regional-based cross-border operations.

US-based Avon, originally a single-tier, direct-selling company, has been operating multi-level marketing under the name Sales Leadership in the United States for about 10 years, according to Robert Toth, executive vice-president and president for international business.
