Iraqis learn lessons of law at Chicago university program.

Aug. 9--Ali Kraidi and his fellow Iraqi law professors saved what they could during the war by storing library books in their homes and blockading a law library's door to keep looters out. Their efforts spared a few legal volumes and a card catalog from destruction.
It was a start.
But Kraidi and more than three dozen other professors and lawyers have bigger plans to put their country back together. They are part of an ambitious program funded in part by DePaul University's School of Law that is training Iraq's top legal minds in principles of democracy and the rule of law.
