Bank of America to cut 80 jobs in Connecticut.

Aug. 19--Connecticut's struggle to boost employment got a little tougher Wednesday as Bank of America Corp. began laying off about 80 branch employees across the state, including some tellers.
Sources familiar with the plans confirmed the number of layoffs in Connecticut, which are part of a larger, sweeping staff reorganization at 1,500 Fleet branches across Connecticut and seven other Northeastern states. The branches were acquired by Bank of America in its April 1 purchase of FleetBoston Financial Corp.
