Aug. 18--Trading in Google shares looked set to begin today after the long-awaited float edged closer last night.
It will make the internet search engine the biggest float of the year. Based on its mid-price valuation Google is worth UKpound 17.8 billion more than fast food giant McDonald's or electronics group Sony.
Early indications suggested that pricing was likely to fall below the suggested UKpound 60-UKpound 74 range when the shares begin trading on America's Nasdaq market.
A poll of a dozen analysts and investors who were discussing pricing expectations revealed they expected shares to trade between UKpound 39 and UKpound 63.
