Aug. 24--DAYTON, Ohio -- Amcast Industrial Corp., a Washington Twp.-based maker of automotive components and copper and brass plumbing supplies, said Monday it sold the assets of its aluminum components business to Cleveland-based Park-Ohio Holdings Corp.
The sale included the operations of Amcast's Wapakoneta; Richmond, Ind., and Cedarburg, Wis., plants, which combined have more than $65 million in annual revenues.
The plants are expected to strengthen Park-Ohio's general aluminum business and help it meet the increasing demand of truck and off-road vehicle manufacturers, said Edward Crawford, chairman and chief executive of Park-Ohio.
