U.K. retailer Tesco goes expresso.

Aug. 25--Having beaten many clothing retailers at their own game, Tesco is now trying to undercut the mighty Starbucks.
It has teamed up with self-service drinks vendor Coffee Nation to sell takeaway cafe lattes, cappucinos and espressos in 150 of its Tesco Express convenience stores.
Coffee Nation, founded in 1999 by Martyn Dawes, already has 200 UK sites selling coffee to go. These are mainly in Welcome Break motorway service stations. After a trial in 30 stores, Tesco has decided to proceed with a roll-out of 150 shops by March 2005. Unlike many vending machines Coffee Nation's coffee machines use fresh beans and fresh milk.
