Struggling ITV proves a big turn-off for investors.

Sep. 1--ITV first appeared on dealers' trading screens at 148p following the merger of broadcasters Granada and Carlton Communications. It touched a recent low of 94 1/2p, and yesterday closed 1 1/2p lower at 103 1/2p on hefty turnover of 28.38m.
Sellers again outnumbered buyers amid continuing concern about advertising demand and falling audience share for commercial television.
Viewers who tuned in to see Kelly Holmes and Matthew Pinsent win gold at the Olympic Games in Athens found they could only watch it on BBC TV, which has slaughtered ITV's viewing figures.
ITV must now be praying that Simon Cowell's new talent show, "X Factor," which starts on ITV1...
