Savannah, Ga., airport and port officials keep wary eye on Hurricane Frances.

Sep. 1--When a hurricane threatens Georgia's coast, some of the first folks to take notice are those responsible for the goings on at the Georgia Ports Authority.

"It takes us about 96 hours to get ready for a major storm, so we have to make some decisions early on," said GPA spokesman Robert Morris.

So while it's basically still business as usual at the docks and gates, field preparations are already under way on the off-chance that Hurricane Frances pays an unwanted visit to Savannah.
