Sep. 3--DAILY MAIL AND GENERAL TRUST, the parent company of the Daily Mail and Evening Standard, raised UKpound 77m from the sale of 57 Australian radio stations to Macquarie Bank. It is hanging on to stations in cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. DMGT's regional newspapers division Northcliffe Newspapers bought Bargain Pages, the owner of three free classified publications in the West Midlands. Entrepreneur Scott Davidson was paid the lion's share of UKpound 8.5m.

LORD BLACK is reported to have remortgaged his Toronto mansion as the disgraced press baron faces a cash crunch. He can raise up to UKpound 14m against the property in the city's exclusive Bridle Path district....
