Sep. 7--New products, technologies and eventually companies could emerge from an initiative for engineers to work more closely with doctors and researchers in southeastern Wisconsin.

"If we want to address the big problems in medicine and biology, we need to team up," said Kris Ropella, a professor and chairwoman of the biomedical engineering department at Marquette University.
