Texas Instruments issues mild revenue warning.

Sep. 9--Texas Instruments Inc. caught a mild case of revenue-warning fever Wednesday, following its rival chipmakers with a lower sales forecast but offering a more optimistic view.
Dallas-based TI said third-quarter sales will range between $3.1 million and $3.24 million, down from its earlier guidance of $3.2 to $3.44 million. But it moved its profit forecast slightly higher to a range of 27 to 29 cents, compared with the earlier forecast of 26 to 29 cents.
TI reiterated the scenario Intel Corp., Cypress Semiconductor Inc. and other chipmakers have detailed in the last week: Customers overestimated their sales growth and have cut back on chip purchases...
