Ford dealer extends network in Bluffton, S.C.

Sep. 10--O.C. Welch now owns both Ford dealerships in the Low Country after purchasing the Island Ford Lincoln Mercury in Bluffton, S.C. Thursday.
Savannahian O.C. Welch III would not comment on the price paid to the Ford Motor Company for the dealership, or any details of the sale.
Welch, who founded the O.C. Welch Motor Company in 1977, owns O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln Mercury in Beaufort, S.C., and O.C. Welch Auto Collection both on Abercorn Street.
He is also in the process of opening a new Lincoln Mercury dealership in Brunswick, which should be open for business in November.
The dealership on Highway 278 will be renamed O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln Mercury....
