Sep. 15--The stepson of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry spoke yesterday to students at the University of Missouri-Columbia, urging them to vote in this year's election and pitching Kerry's policies on higher education.
Chris Heinz, 31, is the son of Teresa Heinz Kerry and former U.S. Sen. John Heinz, a Republican who represented Pennsylvania before he died in a 1991 plane crash.
Speaking at Allen Auditorium in the Arts & Science Building, Chris Heinz said he is "deeply disappointed" in the direction of the country, especially the loss of post-Sept. 11 unity in America.
