Hamilton Sundstrand to supply motor subsystem for Boeing 7E7 Dreamliner.

Sep. 16--Boeing has chosen Hamilton Sundstrand to supply an electric motor pump subsystem for its new 7E7 Dreamliner, the companies announced Wednesday.

It is the eighth time Boeing has chosen equipment designed by the United Technologies Corp. division for its new aircraft. If the Dreamliner is as popular as Boeing forecasts, the total work would mean more than $6 billion for Hamilton during the life of the program, according to the Windsor Locks-based company.

In this latest award, Boeing chose Hamilton to provide hydraulic pump motor controllers and pump drive motors. The hydraulic system provides power for flight controls and landing gear. Among the systems already...
