Hamilton Sundstrand wins NASA contract for spacewalk program oversight.

Sep. 17--Hamilton Sundstrand, a longtime supplier of space suits and life support systems to NASA, will pick up greater oversight and management responsibilities for spacewalk programs under a new contract announced Thursday.

The work could be worth as much as $814 million for the Windsor Locks-based division of United Technologies Corp. over the next decade, though partner suppliers also would be paid through the five-year pact and its planned extensions.
