Hamilton Sundstrand wins NASA contract for spacewalk program oversight.

Sep. 17--Hamilton Sundstrand, a longtime supplier of space suits and life support systems to NASA, will pick up greater oversight and management responsibilities for spacewalk programs under a new contract announced Thursday.
The work could be worth as much as $814 million for the Windsor Locks-based division of United Technologies Corp. over the next decade, though partner suppliers also would be paid through the five-year pact and its planned extensions.
In the past, NASA had agreements with several different companies to support what are known as "extravehicular activity systems" or spacewalks, said Daniel Lee, general manager of human space systems...
