Bombay Co. restarts Internet shopping sites.

Sep. 21--FORT WORTH, Texas -- The Bombay Co. has relaunched its Internet shopping sites with technology from Amazon.com, joining Target, Toys "R" Us, and other bricks-and-mortar chains that rely on the online retailing giant to manage their electronic commerce operations.

Bombay executives say the new bombaycompany.com, bombaykids.com, and bombayoutlet.com sites offer better search tools, a faster checkout process, and downloadable assembly instructions for more than 500 products. Wish lists, 1-Click purchasing and other Amazon.com hallmarks will be added later.
