Hooters restaurant to open on Thailand's Patong Beach in Phuket.

Sep. 21--Amid the tough competition among major restaurant chains in Thailand, newcomer Hooters is confident it can win over diners in Phuket with its famous chicken wings and hula-hooping waitresses in sexy outfits.
Thailand's first Hooters restaurant is scheduled to open at Patong Beach on the resort island of Phuket in February.
Gilbreth Brown, managing director of Wings & Things Co, the master franchisee of the restaurant chain in Thailand, said Phuket was an excellent location for a casual beach-themed restaurant such as Hooters.
