ConAgra's Banquet line becomes more than pot pies, inexpensive frozen dinners.

Sep. 22--Phyllis Lomax's mother fed her oven-baked Banquet pot pies when Phyllis was young, and now she takes them to work.

"When I think of Banquet I think of pot pies," Lomax said recently while grocery shopping.

But the familiar red Banquet banner in front of her on this shopping trip wasn't in the freezer case. She was checking out Banquet Homestyle Bakes, do-it-yourself casserole kits that are part of the 50-year-old brand's next generation.
