Sep. 23--Palm Beach County's largest community bank, Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust, is gaining a bigger share of its home turf.
West Palm Beach-based Fidelity Bankshares Inc., Fidelity Federal's holding company, announced Wednesday a $27.1 million cash-and-stock deal to acquire First Community Bancorp Inc. of Pahokee. First Community Bancorp operates First Community Bank of Palm Beach County, the county's oldest bank.
