Clarkson University invention institute seeks ideas for students to develop.

Sep. 23--POTSDAM, N.Y. -- That idea you scratched down on paper, but didn't have the resources to follow through, could change the way people work and live.

The Clarkson Invention Institute, run out of Clarkson University's Shipley Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, is seeking those invention ideas from the community. The institute will hand over select proposals to students, who will then design and build prototypes, most likely at no cost to the inventors.

The program gives the students practical skills that can't be taught in the classroom.
