Staff crisis hits British Airways after cuts.

Sep. 24--British Airways boss Rod Eddington's cost-cutting programme has suffered a setback after the airline admitted it needs more than 400 extra staff at Heathrow.
The move is part of a series of measures being put in place following the flight cancellation fiasco at the London airport in late August. No heads will roll in retribution, despite earlier speculation that at least two senior executives were facing the axe.
Eddington's Future Size and Shape plan dictates he must cut labour costs by a further UKpound 300m by March 2006. BA is now recruiting 200 extra customer service staff in addition to 216 new airport terminal staff currently being trained.
