22 Dayton Power and Light Co. workers to assist Florida utilities.

Sep. 27--The Dayton Power and Light Co. said Monday it will send 22 employees to assist Florida utilities with electric restoration efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Jeanne.
Pat Swanke, vice president of operations, said DP&L employees will be working for Tampa Electric in the Tampa Bay area. The DP&L crews specialize in reconstructing electric lines, including replacing poles, transformers and wire.
In addition, DP&L has released a number of local contractor crews working in the Dayton area so they can assist in restoration efforts as well.
DP&L anticipates its crews will be in Florida for two to three weeks.
